The Blood Donation at West Branch Regional Medical Center
Give the gift of life with Michigan Blood at WBRMC.
The need for donated blood and plasma is much greater than one would realize. Many procedures and accident victims require transfusions in the gallons to maintain stability. The West Branch Regional Medical Center partners with Michigan Blood to sponsor local blood drives to benefit patients in need and succeed in giving the gift of life to those who need it most.
The Michigan Blood program is a non-profit community blood bank that works in concert with 38 area hospitals across Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Founded in 1955, the Michigan Blood program collects an annual 115,000 blood donations at a variety of permanent and mobile blood donation stations across the state of Michigan.
In addition to their blood donation programs, Michigan Blood also offers a bone marrow donation program, transfusion medicine consultations, transplant center support and Michigan’s first public cord blood bank.
