Volunteering:

West Branch Regional Medical Center Volunteers - Sharing the Gift of Time.

Our patients' lives are enriched each day thanks to the many volunteers at West Branch Regional Medical Center. A warm smile…the touch of a hand…someone to listen and to share with. These are some of the many things our patients remember long after recovery thanks to our caring and compassionate volunteers.

The West Branch Regional Medical Center Auxiliary was established in 1942. Currently, the Auxiliary is 175 volunteers strong! We have volunteer opportunities in more than a dozen service areas. Whether you are interested in volunteering in direct patient care or behind the scenes, if you are dependable and have a few hours to give, we have a place for you as part of our volunteer staff.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and expand your interests as you help people in need. You'll also interact with people who share your interests and your commitment.

As you develop new friendships and begin to see the rewarding results of your efforts, you'll realize why so many of our volunteers say, "I get back much more than I give."

WBRMC Auxiliary Mission

To support the West Branch Regional Medical Center in its endeavor to be the preferred health center through service and excellence.

Commitment

Dependability is a must if you are to become a West Branch Regional Medical Center volunteer. Volunteers are an integral part of the medical center's team. Volunteers can work as many hours each week as they like or a minimum of four hours. We have seasonal assignment for "snow birds" or long-term assignments for those who remain in the area year-round. Our volunteer assignments offer flexible hours to meet busy schedules.

Volunteer positions are available for anyone 18 years and older. All volunteers must attend an orientation program held at the medical center every second Monday of the month. There is a one time membership fee of $25 payable at orientation. In addition, volunteers receive specialized training for their particular assignments. Volunteers also must purchase their own uniform blazer.
